Purpose of the Handbook

The Health, Well-being & Safety (HWS) Research Handbook is designed to provide a comprehensive, accessible resource for staff, researchers, evaluators, and collaborators working within or alongside the HWS division. It serves as a practical guide to conducting research, evaluation, and data analytics that uphold ethical standards, protect data integrity, and contribute to evidence-informed decision-making.

About the Health, Well-being & Safety Division

The HWS division champions initiatives that improve the mental, physical, and social well-being of our university and community. Our work is rooted in public health principles, trauma-informed practice, and a commitment to equity and inclusion. We support programs and partnerships that address a broad range of topics—including mental health promotion, violence prevention, substance use education, crisis response, and overall student safety.
